The Herbs for Health and fun club members enjoy good food. We get together sixteen times a year for
meetings and garden walks and every get-together always begins with a delicious pot-luck meal. We begin our year in
the cold months, so there are lots of warm, home-made comfort foods for our soul. As we progress into spring and summer
the fresh tastes of the garden shine through. The fresh vegetables and herbs just jump out at you. We then approach
fall and we start to taste and smell the harvest season. Then as we enter the holiday season, what I call the "Cooking
Holidays" the desserts abound. Comfort foods with a side of dessert or two-who can go wrong? With over 100 members
strong you can just imagine our feasts. Each member is asked to bring a copy of their recipe and we then compile them
for publication and your enjoyment.
As a club we publish a cookbook with many of these recipes that are featured at our table. We love
to share our good taste with friends and family, and we know many of these recipes will fast become favorites of your family,
with eight chapters there is something for everyone.
We offer for sale this ninth book in our collection of pot-luck treasures. The proceeds from the sale
of this book are awarded to students pursuing an education in horticulture or related field.
